How it is calculated
Each simulation takes the given number of trades per day, won or lost at random according to your win rate, and applies the challenge rules after every trade: target reached, daily loss exceeded since the start of the day, or maximum loss threshold hit.
A static drawdown is measured from the starting balance; a trailing drawdown rises with the account's high, trade by trade or at the daily close, then stops at the starting balance. A two-phase challenge only passes if both phases do, each starting again from the initial balance.
The simulator ignores minimum trading days, consistency rules and fees: it measures the probability that your statistics reach the target before a loss limit. The prefilled rules come from our prop-firm pages.

What are my odds of passing an FTMO challenge?
They depend on your statistics and your risk per trade. With a 45% win rate, 1.5R and 1% risk, at two trades a day, the simulator gives about 59% passes over both phases of the FTMO 2-Step challenge within 60 days.
Does lowering the risk per trade raise the odds?
Not always. A lower risk takes more losses in a row, but the target then needs more trades: in the FTMO example, going from 1% to 0.5% risk drops the pass rate within 60 days from 59% to 17%, for lack of time.
Is a static or a trailing drawdown better?
For the same limit, static is more forgiving: a trailing drawdown rises with your gains, so an account in profit can fail without ever going back below its starting balance.
